چکیده

Background and Aims: This study was aimed to investigate the anti-cancer effect of Isochrysis galbana microalgae extract. Methods: In study, chemical composition extract analyzed, its cytotoxic against K562, HL60, U937, MOLT-4, Raji cancer cells investigated. ECV304 endothelial were used as a healthy cell line for understanding selective cytotoxicity. To determine effects extract, an MTT cytotoxicity assay performed. Results: According results experiments, highest shown at about 24.07±6.48% cells. There large number bioactive molecules in extract, these showed specific response when considering synergistic antagonistic on each other. Conclusion: GC-MS analysis most intense content Dodecanoic acid, 3-hydroxy- (CAS) Beta-Hydroxy Acid, Propanoic 2-methyl-, 1-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2-methyl-1,3-isonide. The investigation specifically is important possible anti-leukemic their combinations that show this line.

The isolation and antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from the marine microalgae Isochrysis galbana.

Three polysaccharides, IPSI-A, IPSI-B and IPSII, were successfully isolated from the marine microalgae Isochrysis galbana through a combination of anion-exchange column chromatography and repeated gel chromatography. These three polysaccharides were demonstrated to have moderate scavenging activities against superoxide and hydroxyl radicals and moderate reductive power in a concentration-depend...

Cultivation of Isochrysis galbana in Phototrophic, Heterotrophic, and Mixotrophic Conditions

This study compared the growth and biomass production of Isochrysis galbana under hetero-, mixo-, and phototrophic conditions using different organic carbon sources. The growth of I. galbana was inhibited in heterotrophy but was enhanced in mixotrophy compared to that in phototrophy. Subsequently, the influences of organic carbon and environmental factors (light and salinity) on the growth of I...
